We’re hiring supported employees
and we want you!

Our iconic factory is in Forbes, New South Wales, has been the home of Aussie Biscuits since 1976. It all started out with a Jam Drop, but these days our dedicated team produces six delicious flavours of biscuit for the retail, tourism and hospitality industries – and you can join them as a Supported Employee!

What is Supported Employment?

For people with a disability who are not able to work without support, Australian Disability Enterprises such as Aruma (that’s us) offer what’s called Supported Employment.

To be eligible for Supported Employment at Aussie Biscuits, you must have a Disability Support Pension (DSP) and an NDIS plan – and of course a passion for creating delicious biscuits!

What will I get to do?

There are so many roles you can do as part of the Aussie Biscuits team. You can make our delicious biscuits, process the orders, pack the cartons, carry out administration duties, or deliver amazing customer service – it depends on what you enjoy and what you’d like to learn!

Do I need any qualifications or experience?

Nope. You do not need any experience or qualifications to join our Aussie Biscuits team. Our supervisors and trainers will provide you with training and support every step of the way.

What skills will I learn?

Once you’re part of our team, we can assist you with training such as Manual Handling, First Aid Certificate and Food Safety Certificate. And loads more!

NDIS Support Categories

Your NDIS funding sits in your core supports and is called Supports in Employment in your NDIS plan. You’ll also need to have a Disability Support Pension (DSP).

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) announced a new price guide for 2020-2021 for your NDIS supports and a new funding model for employment.
